SpeedQuizzing at Red Goat Climbing Wall

Red Goat Climbing Wall is hosting a SpeedQuizzing night on Monday 31 August, with Duke Witter running the show. If you've never come across it, SpeedQuizzing is exactly what it sounds like: a quiz where you're racing against the clock, so you'll want to have your thinking caps on and your fingers ready. It's a bit faster than your usual pub quiz, and that's the whole point.

Duke Witter is the one calling the shots, and he's bringing along prizes, pizza, and beer to keep things going. The pizza and beer are there for the gaps between rounds, so it's as much about the social side as it is about the scoring. If you're going with a group, it's a good excuse to get everyone together for a few hours on a Monday night.

It's held at Red Goat Climbing Wall, over at 6 Redeness Street in Heworth, YO31 7UU. The night runs from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, so it's a two-hour stretch that gets you home in time for a normal Tuesday morning. It's a fairly easy one to get to if you're already around the Heworth end of York.

Entry is £2 to play, and teams are capped at four people, so you'll need to keep your group small. With the pizza and beer on the table, it's a low-stakes way to spend a Monday evening. The whole thing kicks off at 7:30pm at Red Goat Climbing Wall, and wraps up by 9:30pm.
