SpeedQuizzing at Brew York

SpeedQuizzing is back at Brew York on Monday 23 August, with a second night on Monday 30 August. Both run from 7:00pm to 11:00pm, so if you miss the first one, you've got another chance a week later.

If you've never come across it, SpeedQuizzing is a quiz format that runs across several York venues, each fronted by a different quizmaster. Peter Martini hosts the Brew York nights, Olly Salisbury runs the one at The Old White Swan, and Alan Leach takes the lead at The Ackhorne. It's the same format at each, but a different face and a different pub, so you can follow the circuit around the city if you fancy it.

Teams are capped at six players, and the night hands out prizes alongside plenty of quality beer and food vouchers. It's a proper pub quiz night, with the beer and food part of the draw as much as the quiz itself. If you've got a group of friends who think they've got the answers, this is a good place to put them to the test.

Both nights run from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at Brew York, Unit 6, Enterprise Complex, Walmgate, York YO1 9TT. It's £2 to play, and £1 for students.
