SpeedQuizzing at Brew York

SpeedQuizzing is back at Brew York on Sunday 12 July, with the quiz running from 19:00 to 23:00. This one is hosted by Peter Martini, who'll be calling the shots throughout the night.

If you've never come across it, SpeedQuizzing is a bit different from your standard pub quiz. Instead of scribbling answers on a piece of paper and handing them in at the end, you answer on your phone. It's a faster, more immediate way of doing things, and it's a format that pops up in pubs and venues across York, with different hosts taking the lead at each spot. This particular session falls under Martini's watch.

There's a bit on the line, too. The prizes include quality beer and food vouchers, so it's not just about the bragging rights. You'll need to pull together a team, though there's a limit of six people per group, so keep that in mind when you're rounding up your mates. If you're on your own, it's a good chance to team up with others on the night.

Brew York is over at Unit 6, Enterprise Complex, Walmgate, YO1 9TT. Entry is £2, and it's £1 for students. The whole thing runs from 19:00 to 23:00, so it's a full evening's affair.
