A New Year's Eve party with fine dining, candlelit dinner, countdown and live bagpipes at Carlton Towers.
Carlton Towers Estate is hosting a New Year's Eve party on Thursday 31 December, running from 7:00pm through to 1:00am. It's one of those long, full-evening affairs that takes you across the estate rather than keeping you in one room, so it's a good one if you're looking to spend the whole night out without having to figure out a taxi home halfway through.
The night starts outdoors by an open fire in the grounds with a glass of sparkling fizz, and from there you're shown into the house's state rooms for a three-course candlelit dinner. A Master of Ceremonies anchors the evening, leading the countdown to midnight alongside a resident DJ, followed by a toast and a rendition of 'Auld Lang Syne' played on live bagpipes. After that, the dancing carries on until 1:00am.

If you're planning to stay over, deluxe double or twin rooms are available at £100.00. There's a New Year's Day brunch the next morning, from 10am for resident guests and 11am for members of the public, at £45.00 per person with pre-booking required. Black tie is the recommended dress code, so it's a night for getting dressed up rather than keeping it casual. The party itself is £150.00 per person, and the estate is in Carlton, York, DN14 9LZ.
