National Emergency Briefing on the Climate and Nature Crisis

Middlethorpe Hall is hosting a National Emergency Briefing on the Climate and Nature Crisis on Tuesday 8 September, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. It's part of a wider initiative that brings together leading experts to talk through what climate and nature breakdown actually means for things like health, food systems, national security and the economy.

The evening follows a set format. It opens with a short film produced specifically for the briefing, then a panel of academics and experts take over to set out the challenges, the action already being taken and what more could be done. After that, the floor opens up for a discussion where you can get involved and ask questions yourself. The York session is hosted by Lionel Chatard, Director and General Manager of Middlethorpe Hall and GoodGym York.

Middlethorpe Hall is part of the National Trust, a historic house with gardens and landscape on Bishopthorpe Road. It's free to attend, but places are limited and you'll need to book in advance. The briefing runs from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday 8 September at Middlethorpe Hall & Spa, Bishopthorpe Road, YO23 2GB.
