A family-friendly dog-friendly session at The Puzzling World of Professor Kettlestring, allowing well-behaved dogs to explore the attraction's illusion rooms with their owners.
The Puzzling World of Professor Kettlestring is opening its doors to dogs on Sunday 20 September, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with the last entry at 4:00 pm. It's one of their dog-friendly sessions, so if you've been wanting to bring your dog along to one of York's indoor attractions, this is your slot.
For those who haven't been, the venue is an award-winning indoor attraction in Merchantgate, full of mind-bending optical illusions, interactive exhibits, puzzles and creative photo opportunities for all ages. It's entirely indoors and open seven days a week, and a visit usually takes about 45 to 60 minutes. On Dog Day, well-behaved dogs are invited to explore the illusion rooms alongside their owners, with water bowls, treats and surprises for the pups and plenty of photo opportunities to go around. It's framed as a short, bookable family visit rather than a full-day festival, so it's best suited to dogs that are comfortable in a busy indoor setting.
There are a few ground rules to keep in mind: one dog per adult on a short lead, and calm, friendly dogs only. Restricted breeds cannot be admitted, though registered assistance dogs are always welcome. If you're looking for a quieter experience, the venue also offers a 'Calm Hour' session.
