A gothic glamour evening with a themed three-course dinner, DJ music and a themed photo booth at the historic Carlton Towers Estate.
Carlton After Dark: Halloween Ball takes over Carlton Towers Estate on Saturday 24 October, and it's exactly what the name suggests: a gothic glamour evening set in one of Yorkshire's most atmospheric houses. Carlton Towers is a historic estate with a thousand-year history, and this night makes full use of its state rooms. You're welcomed in by the warmth of a lit fireplace, and from there it's a themed three-course dinner prepared by the estate's own chefs. After you've eaten, the night moves into the Card Room for dancing with a DJ on the decks, and there's a themed photo booth with props to get a few proper shots of the crowd.
The dress code is a big part of the evening. You're encouraged to come in costume, and there's a prize for the best dressed of the night, so if you've got a gothic outfit you've been waiting for an excuse to wear, this is it. The whole thing is described as 'gothic glamour and exquisite gastronomy', and the venue does a lot of the heavy lifting there—the state rooms provide the opulent backdrop, and the dinner and dancing take care of the rest.
