Adventures in Hundred Acre Wood comes to Ampleforth Abbey on Sunday 30 August, a production that brings A.A. Milne’s characters back to the stage. It's an interactive show built around puppetry, live music, and storytelling, and it's designed to let you see the Hundred Acre Wood through Christopher Robin’s eyes.
Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and the rest of the gang are all there, and the production is aimed at young audiences, though it's meant to work for grown-ups too. The interactive side is where the little ones get to join in: there's doing a turn about the spinny, helping search for the North Pole, building paper boats, and drawing pictures of Eeyore’s tail. The whole thing is built around the simple joys of friendship, imagination, and play.

The venue is Ampleforth Abbey, a historic site that's been home to a community of Benedictine monks since 1802, set within the Howardian Hills National Landscape. It's a bit of a journey from the city centre, but the setting adds its own character to the day. Tickets are ÂŁ12 per person.
