Your Guide to the Great Yorkshire Show 2026

The Great Yorkshire Show 2026 is back this week, running from Tuesday 14th July to Friday 17th July at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. As the region's premier agricultural celebration, this four-day event is expected to draw around 140,000 visitors. Tickets are priced from #36.50, offering access to a massive showcase of British farming, local food, and country life. For those travelling from York, it is a straightforward trip of around 35 minutes by train, or a drive via the A1(M) and A59.

This year's lineup features several major attractions, including the return of the Bolddog FMX Stunt Team for the first time since 2019, performing high-flying motocross tricks. Over on the Ariat GYS Stage, host Christine Talbot will interview several familiar faces, including Kelvin and Liz Fletcher from ITV's Fletchers on the Farm, Yorkshire Vet Peter Wright, presenter Jules Hudson, and Harriet Cowan. The stage will also host daily fashion shows featuring professional models showcasing rural and outdoor clothing, from classic tweeds to British wool.

For those interested in the agricultural side, the new Agri-Innovation Village showcases hydrogen-powered and electric machinery designed to address climate change and energy security. Traditional livestock competitions remain a core part of the show, featuring thousands of animals, including national shows for Charolais cattle and Zwartbles sheep. Visitors can also explore the Machinery Demo Ring, the Forestry Area with its live saw carving demonstrations, and the Hives and Honey section, which features live hive observations and honey competitions.

Families will find plenty to do in the expanded Discovery Zone, which includes a wildflower walkway, pedal tractors, craft activities, and raptor displays. Food lovers can head to the Great Yorkshire Food Hall and the Cheese & Dairy Show, which features over 160 competitive classes of British cheeses, live cooking demonstrations, and a charitable cheese auction. Additionally, the charity Out Together will have a stand at the show, marking the first time an LGBTQ+ charity has been represented at the event.
