The Deer Shed Festival is returning to Baldersby Park in Topcliffe for its 16th year from Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July 2026. Located just a 30-minute drive from York, this independent gathering offers an alternative to massive city-centre events, keeping its daily capacity capped at 10,000 people. This year's theme is "Into the Labyrinth," which introduces a massive central maze complete with escape-room challenges and hidden clues scattered across the site.

The music line-up features headliners Sleaford Mods, Everything Everything, and Say She She, alongside a broad selection of acts including The Twilight Sad, Fat Dog, Bar Italia, Working Mens Club, and Getdown Services. On the comedy side, Stewart Lee, Rachel Parris, and Adam Buxton lead the bill, supported by performers like Laura Lexx, Jessica Fostekew, and Jonny & The Baptists. Beyond the stages, the literary tent hosts unique sessions such as Stewart Lee in conversation with Sleaford Mods and a live recording of the 101 Part Time Jobs podcast.
For those interested in hands-on activities, the festival offers over 80 workshops, the Synth Shed where you can build an 808 drum machine kick circuit, and the Wilderwild Retreat. Outdoor options include wild swimming, kayaking, and a dedicated sports field, alongside wellness facilities like saunas, hot tubs, and ice baths. The site opens around midday on Friday, with ticket prices ranging from £55 to £220 depending on the tier and age group. Camping is fully integrated, though cars are parked separately, meaning a short walk to the family-friendly camping zones.
