A 360-degree immersive dome show guided by the philosophy of Alan Watts, featuring visuals and surround sound in the Saunders Planetarium.
Trust the Universe: The Philosophy of Alan Watts comes to the Holloway Digital Dome Theatre at the Museum of Science & Innovation (MOSI) in Tampa on October 23 and 24, 2026. It's a 360-degree immersive dome show created by Spherical Pictures in cooperation with the Alan Watts Organization, and it follows the Saunders Planetarium program at the theatre.
The whole thing is guided by the voice of philosopher Alan Watts, with an original surround-sound score by award-winning composer Alvand Jalali. The visuals fill the dome with blooming mandalas and cosmic scenes, and the experience is built around Watts' philosophy. It's meant to be a space to release stress and embrace stillness, and it's played out in a full-dome format that wraps around you rather than sitting on a flat screen.
Before it reaches Tampa, the show played to sold-out audiences across Canada, and it's a traveling experience that brings together art, music, and spiritual philosophy. The film itself runs about 42 minutes, and the whole session takes around an hour when you include the introduction. It's recommended for ages 6 and up, so it works for families as well as anyone coming on their own.
