Stand-up comedy shows by Tony Roberts at the Funny Bone Comedy Club, 21+ with a full bar and dinner menu.
Tony Roberts is playing the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Tampa for a three-night run starting Friday, October 23. He's a Detroit native who works as a comedian, actor, writer, and occasional director, and he's often billed as a "comedians-comedian" — the kind of performer other comics like to watch work.
His career has a long trail of credits. He made his television debut on HBO's DEF COMEDY JAM, followed by IT'S SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO, BET'S COMICVIEW, and The Shaquille O'Neal All Star Comedy Jam. He also had a recurring role as Cy on ABC's Uncle Buck. Legendary comedian and sitcom director David Steinberg called him a "breakout talent" after seeing his stand-up and casting him as the lead in a series of Burger King commercials he directed. These days, he's part of the Bay Area's KBLX Morning Dream Team, on the air Monday to Friday from 5 AM to 9 AM.
There are six showtimes to choose from over the weekend. On Friday, October 23, there are two sets: 7 PM to 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM to 11 PM. Saturday, October 24, has a 6:30 PM to 8 PM show and a 9 PM to 10:30 PM show. Sunday, October 25, has one set from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. All times are Eastern.
