North America's largest franchise show bringing together buyers and sellers of business opportunities in sectors such as home improvement, pet care, and restaurants.
The National Franchise Show comes to the Tampa Convention Center this weekend, Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18. It's run by National Event Management Inc., which takes the show to 25 cities across North America, and the Tampa stop brings together buyers and sellers of the region's franchise and business opportunities.
There are full-time and part-time options across a wide range of sectors. You'll find home improvement, pet care, restaurants, home-based businesses, children's education, automotive, and senior care. The whole point is to meet franchisors face-to-face rather than just browsing websites, so you can ask questions and get a feel for the business before you commit. Along with the booths, there are seminars on legal advice, financial strategies, marketing tactics, and long-term growth, which are helpful if you're still figuring out the logistics of starting your own thing.
The show takes over Ballrooms A, B, C, and D at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St in downtown Tampa. It's a waterfront facility with more than 600,000 square feet of space, including 200,000 square feet of exhibit area, 36 meeting rooms, and a 36,000-square-foot ballroom overlooking Tampa Bay, all connected to the Tampa Riverwalk. If you're coming from across town, that's a good spot to park and stretch your legs before or after you've spent a few hours working the floor.

It runs Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM, so you've got two days to work through the different sectors at your own pace. Admission is free and open to the public.
