Witch-themed Halloween night with tarot and chakra readings, apothecary and crystal vendors, a burning ritual and a costume contest.
The Coven Party takes over Shuffle on Thursday, October 29, from 6 PM to 9 PM, a witch-themed festival celebrating the run-up to All Hallows Eve. It's hosted in partnership with Milagros Wellness Sanctuary, and the night is built for witches, warlocks, sorcerers, and necromancers. If you're into the occult side of Halloween, this is where you'll find your people.
Inside, you'll find tarot readers, Chakra readings, and a past life reader, alongside a burning ritual for setting intentions. There's also a market of sorts: candle makers, apothecary chemists, crystal dealers, and gold charmers will be set up throughout the space. The organizers encourage you to bring a familiar and a book of shadows, and to dress the part. For costume inspiration, they point to witchy films and shows like The Witches of Eastwick, The Craft, Sabrina, The Crucible, AHS: Coven, Hocus Pocus, The Wizard of Oz, and Practical Magic. A costume contest runs at 8:30 PM, with prizes for the best-dressed witches. Men are welcome, provided they recognize it's a night for sisters.

Shuffle is at 2612 N Tampa St, and parking around there is tight, so Uber, Lyft, carpooling, or biking are the better calls. There is an extra lot behind Shuffle, just south of the school, if you're driving. The party runs from 6 PM to 9 PM on Thursday, October 29.
