Free job fair with 66 exhibitors connecting employers with the military community, held in the Tampa Convention Center.
RecruitMilitary is bringing the Tampa Veterans Job Fair to the Tampa Convention Center on Thursday, October 22, from 11 AM to 3 PM. It's a free event open to the public, and it's set up to connect employers with the military community—veterans, transitioning service personnel, and military spouses.
There are 66 registered exhibitors on the list, with names like Cisco Systems, Lockheed Martin, The Boeing Company, HCA Healthcare, USAA, and Wells Fargo among them. If you're coming for more than just the booths, there's a pre-event seminar, How to Maximize Your Veteran Benefits, presented by Disabled American Veterans at 10 AM, an hour before the main floor opens. Keep in mind the exhibitor list isn't final until the day of the event, so it's worth checking back closer to the date.
RecruitMilitary has been doing this since 1991, and they describe themselves as a leader in connecting employers with the military community and facilitating military-to-civilian employment. They've held 43 events in Tampa, drawing more than 15,200 attendees and over 2,000 exhibitors over the years. They suggest a specific way to work the room: set up a RecruitMilitary profile and upload your resume before you arrive, then share your QR code at every booth you visit. They call it the "Rule of 3"—the goal is to walk away with at least three company follow-ups.

Logistically, the fair is in Ballroom C, just inside the Franklin Street entrance at 333 S. Franklin Street. Parking is complimentary in the Tampa Convention Center garage with a validation code, and if that fills up, there's overflow parking at the Fort Brooke Garage. It runs from 11 AM to 3 PM, and it's free to attend.
