Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Winnipeg Jets

The Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Winnipeg Jets at Benchmark International Arena on Thursday, October 29. It's a regular-season matchup that puts the Lightning back on home ice in Tampa, with the Jets making the trip down from Manitoba for the visit.

For anyone who follows the league, the Jets are a familiar opponent, and this is one of those mid-season games that can swing a few points in the standings. The Lightning will be playing in front of their home crowd, and the Jets will be the visiting side. It's a standard NHL game, so you'll get the full three periods, the intermissions, and the usual home-and-away dynamic that comes with a cross-conference matchup.

If you're planning to go, the game starts at 7 PM. That's the puck drop, not the doors opening, so you'll want to give yourself plenty of time to get into the arena, find your seats, and grab whatever you need before the first period gets underway. The game is at Benchmark International Arena, right here in Tampa, so it's a local trip for those of us in the city.

Between the 7 PM start time and the Thursday date, it's a weeknight game, which means it's a bit different from the weekend crowds you'll see. You've got the Lightning at home and the Jets coming in from Winnipeg, with the puck dropping at 7 PM on October 29 at Benchmark International Arena.
