Professional ice hockey match between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Pittsburgh Penguins at Benchmark International Arena.
The Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Pittsburgh Penguins at Benchmark International Arena on Saturday, December 12, 2026. It's a home game for the Lightning, so they'll be the ones wearing the home jerseys while the Penguins make the trip down to Tampa.
If you're planning to be there, the puck drops at 3:30 PM, which puts this one in the afternoon rather than the usual evening slot. It's a Saturday game, so it's a good time to catch it without having to worry about a work day the next morning. The doors open 60 minutes before the game, which gives you plenty of time to get in, find your seats, and settle in before the first period starts.
Since it's a home game, the arena will be filled with Lightning fans, and the atmosphere should reflect that. It's a standard regular-season matchup between two teams from different conferences, so the outcome doesn't carry the weight of a playoff series, but it's still a game that counts in the standings. The Lightning will be playing on their own ice at Benchmark International Arena, and the Penguins will be the visiting team.
