Georgian pianist Tinatin Gudadze performs masterworks by Chopin, Schumann, Cesar Franck and Davitashvili-Khorumi at the USF Steinway Piano Series.
Tinatin Gudadze plays Barness Recital Hall on Sunday, October 18, as part of the Steinway Piano Series. The Georgian pianist is coming to Tampa as the recipient of the 2026 Steinway Series Special Prize from the Walled City Festival in Northern Ireland, so this is a performance that comes with a specific distinction behind it.
Her program pulls from a few different eras of the piano repertoire. She'll be playing masterworks by Chopin, Schumann, and Cesar Franck—three names that most of us recognize from the standard classical canon—alongside Davitashvili-Khorumi. That last one is a Georgian composer, so it's a piece of her own musical heritage on the same bill as the European classics.
The concert is part of the Steinway Piano Series, which is currently in its 23rd season under artistic director Svetozar Ivanov. Over the years, the series has brought more than 100 international pianists through Tampa, including Pascal Rogé, Richard Goode, John O'Conor, and Arthur Greene. Gudadze is the latest to join that list.
