Weekly Tuesday karaoke night at the shuffleboard restaurant Shuffle, hosted by DJ Brandon Velez.
Shuffle is bringing back karaoke on Tuesday nights, starting October 27, with DJ Brandon Velez of Worlds Collide Entertainers running the show. It's a weekly thing from there on out, every Tuesday from 7 PM to 11 PM, so if you miss one, there's another the following week.
Shuffle is a woman-owned business that bills itself as the best shuffleboard restaurant in Florida, and it's got the gear to back it up: four courts, a full kitchen, and a bar. The regular schedule there pulls in jazz, indie, and punk artists, along with a Tuesday open mic and DJ Wally Rios' Wu-Tang Brunch. Over the years, it's hosted Manny Leto's 'Drunk Tampa History' talk, a chicken-nugget festival, and a Women In Music celebration, and it recently marked its seventh anniversary.
Karaoke Tuesday leans into the joke of the whole thing: zero talent required and unreasonable confidence encouraged. You've got a few ways to spend the night—you can take the mic, play a round of shuffleboard, or just sit back and judge your friends. If you're not feeling the stage, you can still hang out and watch the rest of the room go for it.
