Adults-only evening at MOSI with hands-on chemistry experiments, food and drink samples, liquid nitrogen ice cream and a planetarium show.
MOSI is hosting Science After Dark: Chemistry Uncorked! on Thursday, November 5, from 6 to 9 PM. It's an adults-only evening, so you can wander the museum after hours without the kids around—just you and your friends with a drink in hand.
The night is built around chemistry, and that means getting your hands dirty. You can try a variety of food and drink samples throughout the evening, and there's a station where you make your own liquid nitrogen ice cream—a sweet treat that lets you see the science in action while you're making it. Beyond that, there's a range of hands-on experiments to work through, from testing new technologies to mixing your own chemical reactions.
Once you've had your fill of the floor, the evening moves into the Saunders Planetarium for an immersive show. It's a good way to cap off the night: you spend a few hours doing the active, messy part of the evening and then settle in for the show.
