Adults-only evening with exhibit admission, food and drink samples, planetarium shows, and hands-on science activities.
Science After Dark returns to MOSI on Thursday, September 23, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's the museum's adults-only night, so the whole place is for the 18-and-over crowd. Each evening has its own theme, with new activities, demonstrations, and hands-on science experiments that change from one date to the next. The night wraps up at the Saunders Planetarium with an immersive show.
One of the signatures of the evening is the liquid nitrogen ice creamβan interactive way to satisfy a sweet tooth while seeing the science behind the process. Your ticket covers exhibit admission, light bites, drink samples, and hands-on labs. The samples are served first-come, first-served, so if that's what you're after, it pays to get there early. And a heads-up: you'll need a 21+ ID to consume alcohol.
This isn't a one-off. Science After Dark runs on select Thursdays and Fridays from 6 PM to 9 PM, with upcoming dates on November 5, 2026, February 19, April 22, June 25, and September 23. If you miss one, there are plenty more to choose from throughout the season.
