Adults-only evening with exhibit admission, food and drink samples, planetarium shows, and hands-on science activities.
Science After Dark returns to MOSI on Friday, June 25, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's the museum's adults-only night, and if you've never been, the pitch is pretty straightforward: you get the exhibits to yourself without the school groups and strollers, with a few extras thrown in to make it a night out rather than just a visit.
Each evening has its own theme, which means the activities, demonstrations, and hands-on science experiments change from one date to the next. The night usually wraps up at the Saunders Planetarium with an immersive show. One of the signatures of the series is the liquid nitrogen ice creamβan interactive way to satisfy a sweet tooth while seeing the science behind the process. Your ticket covers exhibit admission, light bites, drink samples, and hands-on labs, though the samples are served first-come, first-served, so it pays to arrive early if that's what you're after.

It's for ages 18 and over, and you'll need a 21+ ID to consume alcohol. Tickets are $40 online for non-members and $35 online for members, and they run $40 to $45 at the door. If you're planning to go, buying online saves a few bucks and lets you skip the line. The museum runs these on select Thursdays and Fridays, and June 25 is one of the dates on the calendar.
