Private test screening of the independent film Ring of Fire, followed by a Q&A with director Michael Kerkering and cinematographer Dee Mount.
Ring of Fire is getting a private test screening at the Charlene A. Gordon Theater on Friday, October 23, from 6 PM to 9 PM. The film is presented by MCK Pictures and Mount Up Media, and the screening is followed by a Q&A with director Michael Kerkering and cinematographer Dee Mount. Doors open at 5 PM, so you've got an hour to settle in before the film starts.
Ring of Fire is an independent feature shot on location in Bali, Indonesia, using what the filmmakers call groundbreaking indie techniques. The story follows a travel content creator chasing viral success, and it looks at the line between ambition, identity, and authenticity in the digital age. If you're interested in how it actually came together, there's a behind-the-scenes documentary called 8 Episode BTS that documents the making of the film.
The night doesn't end when the credits roll. After the screening and the Q&A, there's an afterparty at House of Members, 512 N Franklin St. Suite 200, Tampa, FL 33602. If you're driving, the recommended parking is at the Rick Thomas Parking Garage, 810 Frederic H. Spaulding Dr.
