Beginner make-and-take art workshop for adults inspired by the David Hockney exhibition at the Tampa Museum of Art, to create holiday greeting cards.
Remix: David Hockney Holiday Cards is at the Tampa Museum of Art on Thursday, December 3, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a make-and-take art workshop for adults, and the project this time is holiday greeting cards.
The session is part of Remix, a series of workshops the museum runs for adults. Every month they introduce a new project, and the one they're working on always draws from the exhibitions currently on view. This particular workshop takes its cue from David Hockney: Perspectives Should Be Reversed, an exhibition that will be open at the museum. You'll spend the evening making greeting cards for the holiday season, though they're meant for any occasion you like.
If you're worried about your skill level, don't be. The workshop is pitched at a beginner level, and it's for adults 18 and over. You don't need to bring anything with youโall the materials are provided, so you just show up and get to work. It's a three-hour session, which gives you plenty of time to settle in and actually finish what you start.
