Make-and-take art workshop for adults inspired by the C. Paul Jennewein exhibition at the Tampa Museum, with all materials provided.
The Tampa Museum is hosting Remix: C Paul Jennewein on Thursday, November 5, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a make-and-take art workshop for adults, and this month's project is built around the museum's exhibition of C. Paul Jennewein.
If you're not familiar with the series, Remix is a monthly run of adult art workshops inspired by whatever the museum is showing at the time. Every month brings a new project, so the focus shifts as the exhibitions change. This one takes its cue from the Jennewein show, and since it's a make-and-take, you'll be working on something you actually get to take home with you when the night is over. All the materials are provided, so you don't need to bring your own supplies.
It's an adults-only session—ages 18 and up—which makes it a good choice for a night out with friends rather than a family outing. You'll spend the evening working through the project, with the Jennewein exhibition as the starting point. If you've already spent some time with the show, it's a way to engage with it from the other side of the gallery wall; if you haven't seen it yet, the workshop is a reason to.
