Free evening of conversation and networking for photographers, creatives and art lovers, with a guided tour of the museum's exhibitions.
The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is hosting a Photography Social & Networking Event on Thursday, October 22, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's a relaxed evening of conversation and community for photographers, creatives, and art lovers, and the museum is the one putting it on. Doors open at 6 PM, and at 6:30 PM there's a guided tour through the museum's current exhibitions. After that, you're encouraged to stick around and keep the conversation going.
One of the best things about this one is who it's for. It welcomes every experience level and background: working professionals, people just getting started, those who work in the arts, or anyone with a general interest in photography and museums. You don't need to be a pro or even have a portfolio to fit in. If you're looking to meet other people in the local creative scene, this is a low-pressure way to do it.
As for the networking side, it's kept simple. You're invited to bring a business card, share your social media, or just come as you are. There's no formal program beyond the tour, so the rest of the night is just about talking shop with people who get it. Whether you're there to make new connections or just to hang out with people who love the same things you do, it's a good excuse to get out and see some work while you're at it.
