Halloween dance fitness session of reggaeton and perreo-inspired movement led by Alokate Revolution, followed by a social hour.
Perreo Paranormal takes over Heights Lounge on Sunday, October 18, for a Halloween dance fitness session. It's run by Alokate Revolution, the community founded by Latina content creator and dancer Martha Limonta. The whole thing is built around beginner-friendly dance fitness with a focus on reggaeton, Latin dance, and perreo-inspired movement, so you don't need any previous dance experience to jump in.
This particular edition is framed for "retired party animals, dance-floor legends, and people who just need the right song." The session is built around costumes, music, and a no-judgment atmosphere where the energy is meant to make you forget you're actually working out. The choreography can include sensual movement, body rolls, hip work, explicit lyrics, and mature themes, and the whole thing is sober-friendly. You can come solo, with a date, or with a crew, and the social hour that follows the class is there for meeting new people. Limonta describes it as a chance to unleash your spooky alter ego.
Alokate Era is a co-ed Tampa Bay community centered on this kind of dance fitness, and the classes are pitched as energetic and confidence-building. The Halloween session follows that same line: it's about moving and having a good time rather than getting a perfect routine down.
