Opera Tampa Homeschool Assembly

Opera Tampa is hosting a homeschool assembly at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, October 28. It's a daytime session specifically for the homeschool community, so if you're teaching at home, this is one of those mid-week outings that fits right into the school day.

Opera Tampa is the city's professional opera company, and this particular event is built around their work. While the main stage usually holds the big productions, this assembly is a more focused, educational look at the art form, tailored for students and their families. It's a good way to get kids around opera in a setting that's a bit more accessible than a full-dress performance.

The assembly takes place in the Rehearsal Hall, which is tucked inside the Straz Center at 1010 N Macinnes Pl in downtown Tampa. The Rehearsal Hall is a smaller, more intimate space than the main theaters, so it works well for a presentation like this—you'll be close to the performers rather than watching from the back of a balcony.

If you're planning to go, just keep the date and location in mind: Wednesday, October 28, at the Straz Center's Rehearsal Hall, 1010 N Macinnes Pl, Tampa, FL 33602.
