Free midnight release party for the sixth book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, with a copy for every attendee when the clock strikes twelve.
Mad Dogs and Englishmen is hosting a midnight release party for A Court of Splintered Harmony on Monday, October 26, and if you've been following Sarah J. Maas's A Court of Thorns and Roses series, this is the one you've been waiting for. It's the sixth book in the series, and the party is built around the moment it actually hits the shelves.
The night is put on by Oxford Commons Hospitality Company together with the OE Bookstore, and the whole thing is geared toward the release itself. There are literary games to play and raffles and grabs throughout the evening, so it's not just about standing around waiting for the clock to turn. The main event happens at midnight: when the clock strikes twelve, every attendee walks away with a copy of the new volume. If you're into the world Maas has built, it's a good way to get your hands on the book the second it's officially out.
Costumes are welcome, so if you've got a look that fits the series, this is your chance to wear it. It's a party, after all, and the dress code is open to whoever wants to lean into it. If you need any accessibility accommodations, they're available upon request.
