Merit badge workshop on sustainability, covering conservation and waste reduction, at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa.
MOSI is hosting a Sustainability Merit Badge Workshop on Sunday, May 9, 2027, from 10 AM to 2 PM. It's a one-day session designed for Scouts to work through the sustainability merit badge in a single go rather than stretching it out over several weeks of meetings.
The workshop focuses on two main pillars: conservation and waste reduction. Conservation covers the basics of protecting natural resources and understanding how to use them more wisely, while waste reduction looks at how to cut down on what we throw away and how to handle the things we can't avoid. By the end of the day, Scouts will have covered the requirements needed to earn the badge.
Because it's a merit badge workshop, the session is structured to get you through the material in one sitting. You'll spend the morning and early afternoon working through the requirements with a group of other Scouts, so it's a good way to knock out a badge in a single trip to the museum.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Tampa and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
