Merit badge workshop for scouts on ecosystems, pollution and conservation at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa.
MOSI is hosting an Environmental Science merit badge workshop on Saturday, April 10, 2027, from 10 AM to 1 PM. It's a three-hour session held at the Museum of Science & Industry in Tampa, and it's built around the Environmental Science merit badge.
The workshop covers three main areas: ecosystems, pollution, and conservation efforts. The ecosystems part looks at how different plants and animals live and work together in their environment. Pollution focuses on what happens when harmful substances get into the air, water, or soil, and how that affects the world around us. Conservation is the third piece, looking at the ways we can protect and restore natural habitats. By the time the session wraps, scouts will have worked through these three topics in one morning.
It's a good way to knock out a significant chunk of the badge requirements in a single go rather than piecing them together over several weeks. If you've got a scout who's interested in the outdoors or just wants to get this one checked off, it's a straightforward way to do it.
