Matt Maeson (Watch My Step Tour)

Matt Maeson plays The Ritz Theater - Ybor City on Thursday, November 19, as part of his Watch My Step Tour. He's an American singer and songwriter from Fairland, Indiana, who first stepped into the spotlight after winning CMT's Next Superstar in 2011, and before that, competing on Nashville Star. The Tampa date is one stop on a tour that pairs his latest material with fan favorites, so you'll hear the new songs alongside the older ones.

His sound sits at the crossroads of raw, introspective songwriting and powerful vocals, blending folk-rock sensibilities with modern pop production. It's the kind of music that works just as well when it's stripped back as it does when it's built up, and the Watch My Step set draws from both ends of his catalog. Opening the night is Sam MacPherson, who'll set the stage before Maeson takes over.

The Ritz Theater in Ybor City is a classic venue known for its lively atmosphere and for hosting artists who connect well with engaged crowds. It's a good fit for a show like this, where the songwriting stays front and center. The concert starts at 8 PM on Thursday, November 19, with Sam MacPherson opening and Matt Maeson headlining.
