Over-18s drag king show bringing the challenges of the 'King of Drag' series to the stage at The Orpheum.
King of Drag comes to The Orpheum on Thursday, November 19, as part of The Royal Tour, the first time this drag king competition series has moved off the screen and onto a live stage. It's presented by Endoxa and Gala of Ghouls, with Kings' Court judge Damian hosting the night.
If you've followed the show, you know the setup: the live production takes the series' challenges and puts them in front of an audience, with performances that run bigger than they do on screen. The kings are judged on Daring, Innovation, Caring and Charisma—the D.I.C.K. criteria—and special guests drop in throughout the evening. The whole thing is a long one, running about four and a half hours, so it's a full night rather than a quick stop.
For context, The Royal Tour follows the Season 2 premiere on September 20, and this is the competition moving from the screen to the stage. The Orpheum is at 14802 N Nebraska Ave, and the room holds 720 seats. It's an over-18s only show, so you'll need your ID.

Doors open at 7 PM, and tickets start at $57, with the average landing around $65. Between the four-and-a-half-hour runtime and the 18+ requirement, it's a night that asks for a bit of planning.
