Outdoor augmented-reality ghost hunt where players follow their phones to ten haunted locations, solve puzzles and banish an evil ghost.
Ghosts of Tampa: Explore the Haunted Past! kicks off at Kennedy Blvd @ Pierce St on Sunday, November 1. It's an outdoor ghost hunt that turns you into a 'Ghosthunter' for the afternoon: you follow your phone to track down ten haunted locations across the city, solve puzzles along the way, and eventually banish an evil ghost. The whole thing plays out entirely on the streets, so you're out in the city rather than inside a venue.
It's a blend of a scavenger hunt and an escape room, with the puzzles and narrative twists handled through your phone. The game takes about 60 to 90 minutes to complete and covers around 1.5 miles on foot, so you'll be walking a good chunk of the time. It's recommended for ages 14 and up, and children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult. You'll need a smartphone with an internet connection to play, and each ticket unlocks the game on one device.

One thing that's worth mentioning is that the experience is available in English, French, German, and Spanish, so you can play in the language you're most comfortable with. It's strictly an outdoor activity, and the organizers are clear about that: you're told not to enter any private buildings or premises during the hunt. Tickets are $8.00.
