Brief, casual 5-10 minute conversations led by the museum's Visitor Experience Team about the art and exhibitions, free with admission.
Gallery Chats are running daily at the Tampa Museum of Art through October 31, 2026. They're led by the museum's Visitor Experience Team, and the format is simple: brief, casual conversations that give you a closer look at the art and a better acquaintance with the permanent collection and the current exhibitions. Each session lasts five to ten minutes, and they're open to everyone, whether you're visiting for the first time or you've been coming for years.
There are two slots every day—one at 11 AM and another at 3 PM—so you can catch one in the morning or later in the afternoon. Because they're short, they're easy to fit into a larger visit without taking over your whole day. They're also flexible; you can drop in for one and keep moving, or make it the anchor of your trip. The chats depend on staff availability, so keep that in mind if you're planning your day around a specific time.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Tampa and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

If you're looking for a way to get a bit more out of the museum than just walking through on your own, this is a good place to start. It's a low-pressure way to hear something about what you're looking at without committing to a full tour. The museum is at 120 West Gasparilla Plaza in downtown Tampa, and the chats are free with admission. If you're planning a visit around a Thursday, the museum also runs 'Art on the House' from 4 to 8 PM, when admission becomes pay-as-you-will.
