A trade show featuring new, used and antique firearms, ammunition, knives and shooting accessories, with vendors selling hunting and self-defense gear.
The Florida Gun Show is back at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa this October, running Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th. It's set up as a one-stop shop for firearms and shooting enthusiasts, and the inventory covers a lot of ground: new, used, and antique firearms, ammunition, shooting supplies, and knives. You'll also find self-defense gear like tasers, stun guns, and pepper sprays, along with hunting equipment. The knife section brings in custom makers and sharpeners, so if you've got a blade that needs work, this is a good time to get it done. The whole thing runs on the fairgrounds' 'BUY, SELL AND TRADE' motto, which means you can walk in with something and walk out with something else.
If you're bringing a gun with you, there are a few rules to keep in mind. It has to be unloaded, with all magazines and clips empty and removed, and secured with a plastic tie strap that stays on the weapon throughout the show, in line with Florida law. No loose ammunition is allowed on site. Law enforcement officers in uniform get in free, and NRA members, Veterans, and Military can get $1.00 off with ID.
