Dustin Nickerson

Dustin Nickerson is playing the Funny Bone Comedy Club on Thursday, October 29, at 7 PM. He's a stand-up comic from Seattle who now lives in Southern California, and he's built his act around the kind of everyday stuff that's easy to recognize. He describes himself as "the world's most average person" and pulls his material from his own life — he's 38, married for 18 years, and has three kids — and uses that to talk about parenting, marriage, and being generally annoyed by most people.

If you haven't come across him yet, he's been working in the public eye for a while. In 2020 he released his debut special, Overwhelmed, which was one of the highest-rated specials on Amazon Prime Video. Since then he's appeared on Comedy Central and Netflix, where he was featured by Kevin Hart, and has been on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Fox, and Hulu. He's a regular on Sirius XM, too. His stand-up clips and jokes have pulled in tens of millions of views online, and his podcast, Don't Make Me Come Back There, has over a million downloads.

He's also a writer. In June 2022, HarperCollins published How to be Married to Melissa, which hit #1 as a New Release on Amazon. Between the special, the podcast, and the book, there's plenty of his work to check out before he hits the stage here in Tampa.

The show is at the Funny Bone Comedy Club, 1600 E 8th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605. It's a 21+ event, and seating is first-come, first-seated, so if you have a preference for where you sit, you'll want to get there early. The show starts at 7 PM.
