Drum and bass night headlined by UK artist Villem, with Darcii Darka, Praying Mantis, Gio Leon, Femme.antics and Rooz, hosted by Imminent and organised by Orion Records.
Villem headlines a drum & bass night at Mad Chiller World on Saturday, October 24. He's coming in from Ipswich in the UK, and he's not playing alone—the lineup includes Darcii Darka, Praying Mantis, Gio Leon, Femme.antics and Rooz, with Imminent on the mic. Orion Records is putting it all together.
If you're not familiar with Villem, he's one of the more versatile names in the drum & bass scene, and he's released on nearly all the major labels in the genre. His sound covers a lot of ground: big, bouncy jungle, twisted bass science, and liquid rolling bliss. His back catalog draws from funk, jazz, soul, hip hop, and a good deal of drum & bass history, so he's not tied to just one corner of the sound.
He's known for deep, melodic, atmospheric productions that blend rolling rhythms, soulful elements, and heavyweight bass—the kind of music that works as well on headphones as it does on a packed dance floor. That range is a good preview of what to expect: the night should move from the heavier, more technical side of the genre into the smoother, liquid stuff.
