Blindfolded three-course dining experience at Centre Club, with meat, seafood and vegan menus, for guests aged 12 and over.
Dining in the Dark comes to the Centre Club on Friday, November 20, from 6 PM to 7:15 PM. It's a blindfolded dining experience built on a simple premise: when you can't see your food, your other senses take over. Taste and smell move to the front, and a secret three-course menu—appetizer, main, and dessert—turns every bite into a bit of a guessing game. The whole thing is pitched as a way to break out of your routine and relearn how to use your taste buds, whether you're sharing the table with a partner, family, or friends.
The setting adds its own layer to the night. The Centre Club is a restaurant and bar on the eighth floor of a downtown Tampa building, and those city views are the one thing you'll actually miss while you're blindfolded. It's a bit of a trade-off: you give up the skyline for the food, and the food becomes the only thing you're paying attention to.
There are three menu options to choose from, each color-coded so you know what you're getting: Red for meat, Blue for seafood, and Green for vegan. The experience is open to ages 12 and up, and anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
