Preschool science workshop where children aged 3 to 5 explore how objects move using ramps, rolling toys and push-pull games.
MOSI is hosting Curious Kids: Things That Go on Wednesday, January 6, 2027, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. It's a preschool science workshop where kids spend the morning figuring out how things move. The session centers on ramps, rolling toys, and push-pull games—the kind of hands-on play that usually happens in a living room, but here it's framed as a science experiment.
Curious Kids is a monthly, 90-minute science adventure designed for preschoolers. Each class is built around stories, songs, and experiments tied to a specific theme, and this one is all about motion. The session is aimed at children aged 3 to 5, so it's geared toward the little ones who are just starting to ask why things roll or how a push makes something go. Parents can stay and join in on the activities, or they can take a break and wander through the rest of the museum while their child is occupied.

Because it's a workshop rather than a drop-in, there are a few logistics to keep in mind. Registration and payment are required at least two weeks in advance, so you'll want to sign up well before the January 6 date. The cost is $15 for non-members and $10 for MOSI members, and the whole thing runs from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Museum of Science & Industry in Tampa.
