Preschool science adventure where children learn about muscles, bones and movement through stories, songs and active games.
MOSI is hosting Curious Kids: Healthy Bodies on Wednesday, March 3, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. It's a preschool science adventure that spends ninety minutes on how our bodies move, with muscles, bones, and movement at the center of it. The session is built around active games and songs, so the kids spend the morning moving rather than just sitting and listening.
Curious Kids is a monthly series designed for preschoolers, and every class follows the same basic format: stories, songs, and experiments all tied to one science theme. This particular one focuses on the human body, so the games and songs will be built around how muscles and bones work together to get us moving. It's hands-on science for the youngest crowd, and the whole thing runs for an hour and a half.
One thing that makes this easy for parents is the flexibility. You can stay in the workshop with your child, or you can take a break and spend the rest of your morning exploring the rest of MOSI while they're occupied. The series is part of the museum's broader hands-on science programming for young children, so it fits into a larger calendar of things to do with little ones around the city.
