Immersive 360-degree fulldome experience bringing Rumi's poetry to life with visuals, music and Shahram Nazeri's vocals.
Circle of Light: The Love of Rumi & Shams is playing at the Holloway Digital Dome Theatre inside the Museum of Science & Innovation (MOSI) on select evenings, with showtimes at 6 PM, 7:15 PM, and 8:30 PM. It's a 360-degree fulldome experience that takes you into the mystical world of the Persian Sufi poet Rumi, and it runs about 42 minutes, plus a short introduction. The whole thing is presented in full-field 4K color, so you're surrounded by the visuals rather than just watching them on a screen.
The poetry is read aloud in its original Persian by the renowned Iranian vocalist Shahram Nazeri, set to an original surround-sound score by Loga Ramin Torkian. There's an English prologue and English subtitles throughout, so you can follow along even if you don't speak Persian. The show was produced and directed by Spherical Pictures founder Amir Aziz over four years.
