Monthly yoga class taught by Colleen McHenry with rescue hens from Ybor Misfits Microsanctuary wandering the room, with proceeds donated to the sanctuary.
Yoga Loft Tampa is bringing its Chicken Yoga class to Hotel Haya on Sunday, October 25, from 11 AM to 12 PM. It's a gentle flow yoga session with a few rescue hens from Ybor Misfits Microsanctuary roaming the room. The chickens wander around, perch on mats, and sometimes even climb onto participants—and they all wear custom diapers, so you don't have to worry about the mess.
Colleen McHenry leads the class, and she's been running Yoga Loft Tampa since 2019. The studio itself is a boutique space in Historic Ybor City that's been open since 2007. It's held its own over the years, named Best Yoga Studio by Creative Loafing's Best of the Bay for eight years running, from 2019 through 2026, and it's been featured on the Today Show, the Washington Post, PBS with Samantha Brown, Bloom, and WEDU. This is one of her monthly sessions, so if you miss this one, there's usually another on the horizon.

Beyond the yoga, there's a direct charitable side to it: every dollar from the ticket goes to Ybor Misfits Microsanctuary, the home of the hens that join the class. The session is open to anyone 18 and over. It's $25, and it runs for an hour at Hotel Haya, 1412 E 7th Ave in Ybor City.
