Free bridal showcase with a runway show honoring breast cancer survivors, a dance demonstration and vendor meet-and-greet supporting the American Cancer Society.
CC's Bridal Boutique is hosting CC's Brides for a Cure on Friday, October 23, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, with a runway show starting at 6:30 PM. The boutique is at 3415 W Bay to Bay Blvd in Tampa.
The evening centers on a runway show honoring breast cancer survivors. ACS Hope Ambassador Jeanine Reid will walk the runway alongside other survivors, and co-host Fred Astaire Dance Studio will perform a dance demonstration. Around them, you'll find a wide range of local vendors: Elizabeth Lee Bridal, DJ Moreno 911, Madison Anna Photo, Agape Diamonds, BLB Luxury, Skin Pharm, Just Beauty Hair & Makeup, Tickle My Fancy Boudoir, Lorena Greer Art, Replenish IV Solutions, Rare Body Studio, The Tox Tampa, Butter Baked Cookies, and Wedding Gown Preservation Company.
There's a personal story behind the event. CC's Bridal Boutique has been around since 1980 and is known as one of Tampa Bay's most trusted bridal shops. They started CC's Brides for a Cure as a tribute to Avarie Wasp's childhood best friend, Anna, who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at 29 and passed away six years later. The showcase was built in partnership with the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and every donation made through the team goes directly to the charity's research, patient programs, and advocacy. The boutique is drawing on four decades of serving women for the occasion, and the organizers hope this becomes an annual tradition where the local wedding community gathers to celebrate love and raise money for a cause.
