Candlelight tribute concert by the Listeso String Quartet of Halloween-inspired music, including themes from 'Thriller', 'The Exorcist' and 'Stranger Things'.
Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics comes to the Centro Asturiano de Tampa on Sunday, October 25, with the Listeso String Quartet taking the stage. It's a tribute concert presented by Candlelight, and as the name suggests, the whole thing is played under the glow of candlelight. The performance runs about 65 minutes.
The program pulls from a few different worlds. There's the movie side of things, with themes from The Exorcist, Stranger Things, Beetlejuice, The Addams Family, Halloween, Psycho, and Ghostbusters. Then there's the pop side, with Michael Jackson's Thriller and Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells. And there's the classical side, with Gounod's Funeral March of a Marionette, Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre, Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, Schubert's Der Erlkönig, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King. It's a long list for a little over an hour, so the quartet will be moving through these pretty quickly.
Since it's a tribute, it's not affiliated with the original artists or their estates. Seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis within each zone, and it's recommended for ages 8 and up, with anyone under 16 needing to be accompanied by an adult. The venue's main hall is wheelchair accessible, and assistive listening devices are available if you need one.
