An Evening with Chandler Riggs

Chandler Riggs is coming to the Historic Duncan Auditorium at the Tampa Theatre on Thursday, October 29, for a night that's part meet-and-greet, part screening, and part conversation. The evening is presented by Tampa Theatre and Film Tampa Bay, and it's built around a few different things happening in one go.

Most people know Riggs from the eight seasons he spent as Carl Grimes on AMC's The Walking Dead, but he's spent the years since then working both in front of and behind the camera. He's an award-winning actor and filmmaker who has moved into directing, with the independent short The Unicorn That Never Lies under his belt, and he's credited as a writer on the upcoming action-adventure feature Rune. His recent and upcoming credits run through a wide range of projects: HACKED: A Double Entendre of Rage-Fueled Karma, which was shot right here in Tampa; Brother Save Us, opposite Deacon Phillippe; RWBY X Justice League, where he plays Superman; Lionsgate's Inherit the Viper with Josh Hartnett; Sony's The Wronged Man; Universal's Mercy; and ABC's Only with Leslie Odom Jr.

That's the context for the night itself. It kicks off with a meet-and-greet in the lobby from 6 to 7 PM, followed by a special preview screening of his newest project. After the film, Riggs stays on stage for a conversation with Film Tampa Bay's Tyler Martinolich, with time for audience questions. It's a full evening rather than just a quick screening, so you'll want to be there early if you're planning on the lobby part.

Doors open at 6 PM, and the main event starts at 7 PM. General admission is $13, and Tampa Theatre members get in for $10, with a $2 service fee for online purchases. Seating is open, so there's no seat selection when you book.
