A philanthropic country music festival supporting NephCure, featuring live music, BBQ, beer, games and family-friendly fun.
The 15th Annual Tampa Pig Jig returns to Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park on Saturday, October 17, from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It's a full day of country music, BBQ, and beer, and this year marks fifteen years since the festival first started. The lineup is led by Thomas Rhett, with Midland, Kameron Marlowe, Sister Hazel, and Cassidy Daniels filling out the bill. If you're coming for the music, that's five acts to work your way through over nine hours.
Beyond the stage, the day is built around BBQ, beer, games and family-friendly activities. It's a philanthropic festival, and the money goes to NephCure, a nonprofit working toward a cure for two kidney diseases: Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Nephrotic Syndrome. The organizers describe the day as being built for families facing serious medical challenges, so the games and activities are aimed at all ages. The event is presented with support from RIPA, Valley Bank and The Baldwin Group.

Because it's a fundraiser, there are a few practical things to keep in mind. Pre-registration is required for in-person attendance, so you'll want to get that sorted before you head out. Tickets are $140, and the whole thing runs from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, 1001 N Blvd, Tampa, FL 33607.
