Major League Soccer match between St. Louis City SC and Portland Timbers at Energizer Park, themed as College Night.
St. Louis CITY SC takes on the Portland Timbers at Energizer Park on Wednesday, October 28. It's a conference matchup, so there's a bit more on the line than a typical mid-week game, and the Timbers are making the trip from the Pacific Northwest to face the city's side on their own turf.
The match is billed as College Night, a matchday dedicated to college students. The club is inviting students to bring the noise and the vibes, so if you're still in school, this is the one to get your friends together for. It's a good excuse to pull a group from campus and head over to the park together.
For everyone else, it's still a standard conference clash. St. Louis CITY SC will be playing at home, and the Timbers are coming in as a conference rival, which usually means the game carries a little more weight in the standings. If you've been following the season, this is one of those mid-week dates that can shift things around before the stretch runs really kick in.
