Kick or Treat! Soccer Pickup & Open House for All Ages

The Sports Yard is hosting Kick or Treat!, a free soccer pickup and open house for all ages, on Saturday, October 31. It's a full day of games and a free open house, and there's one rule you can't skip: costumes are required. If you're planning to play, you'll need to sign up online before October 30.

The day is broken down by age, so you'll be playing with people in your own bracket. The kids' pickup games run first: 6- to 8-year-olds go from 11 AM to 12 PM, 9- to 11-year-olds from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, and 12- to 15-year-olds from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. After that, there's a free open house from 3:30 PM to 6 PM, when you can just hang out and see the place without a scheduled game. Then the adult pickup games take over, for anyone 16 and up, from 8 PM to 11 PM.

Since it's Halloween, the costume requirement applies to everyone on the pitch, so come prepared to play in whatever you've put together. The whole thing is free, and the age brackets mean you'll be matched with people around your own level and age. The Sports Yard is at 4101 Manchester Ave in St. Louis, and you'll want to get your name on the list before the October 30 deadline if you want in on the games.
