Free meet-the-author evening with fantasy and horror writer Jonathan Edward Durham to discuss his novel 'Winterset Hollow'.
Jonathan Edward Durham is coming to the Clark Family Branch of the St. Louis County Library on Thursday, October 29, to talk about his novel Winterset Hollow. He's an author and a social media presence, and the book has been described as a word-of-mouth horror phenomenon that set the internet on fire.
If you haven't come across it yet, Winterset Hollow follows a group of friends who travel to the place that inspired their favorite book—a timeless tale about a tribe of animals preparing for their yearly end-of-summer festival. Once they arrive, they discover that much of what the world believes to be fiction is actually fact, and that the truth behind the story they love is darker and more dangerous than they ever imagined. It's the kind of premise that works best when you hear it from someone else, and the evening is a chance to hear it from the person who wrote it.
The event is presented by the St. Louis County Library Foundation and The Novel Neighbor, and the bookstore will have copies of the book available on-site if you want to pick one up. Seating is limited, so if you're planning to go, arriving early is a good call.
